LIVE PANEL WITH CITIZEN TRIPP
WATCH NOW
In Season 2, Episode 4 of Civic Discourse, host Tripp Gomez brings panelists together for a conversation about participating in shared life through building bridges across communities.
Panelists include Matthew Reynolds, Victoria Perea, Jessie, Tony, and Andrew. Together, they explore community as something shaped through trust, curiosity, shared responsibility and the willingness to meet people where they are.
They discuss and work through the forces that have made connection feel more difficult: political polarization, dehumanizing language, collective trauma, algorithmic isolation, survival mode and the erosion of local gathering spaces.
Panelists reflect on how storytelling, active listening, nervous system safety, mutual aid, civic organizations, libraries, shared meals, neighborhood events and creative public gatherings can help people practice connection in tangible ways.
Panelist Matthew Reynolds expresses a clear invitation:
“Don’t invite me to your table. Invite me to build a new table with you.”
