Civic Discourse with Citizen Tripp | S2, Episode 1: All Things Divestment

LIVE PANEL WITH CITIZEN TRIPP
WATCH NOW

In this Season 2 premiere of Civic Discourse, host Tripp Gomez brings together panelists for a conversation about divestment as a broader shift in how people relate to food, labor, community and one another.

Panelists include Jessica Friday, Tony, and Lawrence. They explore what it means to divest from harmful systems and reinvest energy into hyperlocal economies built around mutual aid, shared resources, food sovereignty and collective care.

Panelist Lawrence reflects on the deeper impact of reconnecting with land and food systems, describing gardening as both a practical necessity and a form of healing. He stated, “we know that nature heals…if everybody turns back to the land and everybody starts gardening or participating in the food system in some way, I believe healing is going to extend to our communities as well.”

Watch the full episode to consider what is possible when communities begin investing in one another.

How can you contribute to building healthier local systems?
